Its most popular feature however is that of the two beaches, one facing the north, the other facing the south with Castle Rock between both. There are plenty of small craft shops, with plenty of pubs and restaurants, some of which feature Norman masonary. Getting there:
From Pembroke dock (approx. 10 miles) take the A477 then the B4318 at Sageston. If approaching from the West, take the A40 until St. Clear's (approx 20 miles) then take the A477 for Tenby. Nearby Area A coastal trail between the villages of St Dogmael's in the north and Amroth in the south follows the coastline of the Pembrokeshire National Park through some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Britain . For much of the time the path keeps to the clifftops, providing superb views of the cliffs, beaches and offshore stacks and islands with their abundant birdlife. Each turn in the path reveals something different - a little harbour, an attractive village, a Neolithic 'cromlech', Bronze Age standing stones, Iron Age promontory forts, a church or chapel of the Celtic saints and their followers or a castle built by Norman invaders.
