SIOP Y TRAETH (Beach Shop in Welsh) is the only shop in Tresaith. It is located as the name suggests, right on the beach! The shop sells a wide variety of items from traditional buckets and spades, swim and surf wear and wetsuits to books, cd’s and all kind of colourful bags and beach sandals. You can also rent a wet suit for only £8 a day. For milk and stamps etc you will need to go to nearby Aberporth which is just over a mile away.

Probably the main reason to visit the shop is to taste the wonderful local ice cream from nearby Pembrokeshire. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. They can also prepare all kind of fair trade coffee that is always highly praised. Baguettes, filled rolls and other snacks are available during the summer months.

Terrace: Through the shop you’ll find the terrace where you can sit overlooking the beach, with wonderful views of the sea. There is plenty of space to relax with a cappuccino and spot the dolphins!

Opening hours: Everyday during school holidays from 10.30am until 6pm, and also every dry weekend between the Easter holidays and October half term (closed during the winter).

Facilities: There are public toilets with a washing area opposite the shop. On both sides of the shop there are parking areas.

Y CABAN The Cabin: Next to the shop there is a food cabin. Here we sell ‘traditional’ sea side food – fish and chips, Welsh beef burgers and also bacon rolls. There are also healthier options and vegetarian food, or you can have filled rolls and baguettes at the shop next door. The Cabin is open during the holiday period whilst the sun is shining!
